Linda Riggs Mayfield appreciates words, sounds, and images and enjoys sharing all of them with others. She has taught every grade from fifth through college and adult Bible studies; written curriculum, collaborated on a history textbook, and presented at local, regional, and national conferences. A life-long learner, she has bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in education. Since leaving the classroom in 2011, she has been an online research and writing consultant, editing books and helping doctoral scholars design and write their dissertations. She is an artist and musician, and attempts to use all her gifts in her local church. She has published articles in the popular and academic press, is one of the writers of a weekly history column in her city’s newspaper, and is seeking representation for a series of Christian worldview historical novels set in the 1830s. She and her husband have four adult children and nine grandchildren, and live in Central Illinois.
